OUR ROOMS:

You enter the accommodation through an imposing doorway, which takes you into the main reception hall with a panorama view into the rear enclosed secluded garden which features extensive lawn, pond, two wooden decking patios, barbeque area.

Bedroom 1 (Ground) which has a warm cosy feel with its original Oak beams and comfortable double bed. Across the hall is the shower room with shower, basin and toilet. Being on the ground floor off the main hallway, this bedroom is ideal for people with mobility restrictions.

Stairs from the reception area lead up to three further bedrooms.

Bedroom 2 (4-poster): On the left is another double suite, comprising a romantic four poster king size bed and en-suite Victorian bathroom with bath, shower and toilet facilities. The window has spectacular views over the valley towards Riber Castle.

Bedroom 3 (Double) also has spectacular views over the valley towards Matlock and Riber Castle. This suite features a pine double bed and convenient en-suite shower and toilet facilities.

Bedroom 4 (Twins) benefits from views on three sides towards Riber Castle, open countryside and out over the garden. Facilities include two single beds and in-room wash basin, with a private bathroom along the hall

Through the dining and kitchen areas are two further bedrooms:

Bedroom 5 (Family): leads directly off the snug. This was the barn of the original old farmhouse, and has been converted to make a large family room featuring a king size bed and large sofa on the ground floor, with steps up to the old hayloft area where there are two single beds.

Bedroom 6 (Rear): the final spacious bedroom features a romantic brass double bed, with a walk-in wardrobe area. This has a rear outlook across to open countryside

Family Bathroom: shared for Bedrooms 5 & 6 is a large bathroom featuring a comfortable modern power-shower cubicle, full size enamel bath, and stone tiled floor.

All Bedrooms have their own colour TVs and each also has a Z-bed with full set of bedding, suitable for children's use. These can be moved around the bedrooms to suit each party's individual needs. In addition, in the lounge there is a bed settee which can be converted to a double sprung bed if required.

EXTENSIVE LIVING AREAS:

Lounge: a door from the hallway leads into the spacious lounge area (21' x 14' ) with its welcoming log fire set in a stone surround, and wooden oak ceiling beams. The room is complete with extensive leather seating and large TV with DVD. The lounge is predominantly heated by the log fire, which transforms the lounge and spreads secondary warmth to the rest of the cottage.

 

Kitchen/ Dining: the extensive farmhouse kitchen with all original features - exposed oak beams, log fire, stone floor - splits into two adjoining areas providing dining for up to 20 and two kitchen areas which together provide all the essential equipment you will require for your stay: 2 ovens, hobs and microwaves, an American-style fridge/freezer, under worktop fridge and freezer, 2 washing machines and a tumble drier.

Snug: a few steps from the main kitchen lead up to the 'snug' area where there is further comfortable leather seating and another TV, with the Family and Rear bedrooms leading off this area and patio doors leading to the upper decking area.
