Lane End House - Introduction

Lane End House is a cosy converted farmhouse with accommodation for 14 to 20 people. The 300 year old property has six bedrooms (one with 4-poster bed), 5 bathrooms, TVs in all bedrooms, a log fire in large oak-beamed lounge and parking for 6+ cars. The nearest of three village pubs is just 100 metres away and includes a children's menu.

The house is set in the "World Heritage Status" Derwent Valley, facing the Village Green and children's play areas. At the back is open countryside. Footpaths lead up the hill to Riber Castle and down to Matlock and the 100ft waterfall in the ruins of Arkwright’s Mill.

The attractions of Gulliver's Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham cable cars are just over 2 miles away, while a wide range of attractions such as Chatsworth House and Park, Alton Towers, the Blue John Mines at Castleton (with underground boat trips), Bakewell, Dovedale, many cycle trails and Carsington Water are all within easy reach.
